Biography

Laine Monica Cordell is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, California and is currently obtaining her Masters of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing from Missouri State University. She has been privileged to be a member of the faculty as a per course instructor at MSU in the Theatre and Dance Department, as well as an instructor with the Missouri Fine Arts Academy. Cordell is a playwright, producer, director, actor, and vocalist, with over twenty years of experience in musical theatre, film, and television. Her passion is inspiring young people to find their individuality, amplify distinct voices, and embrace their own dynamic presence in the world at large through personalized and unique storytelling. Laine resides in Springfield with her family and is grateful for the opportunity to further her education with an awarded graduate assistantship, and wishes to remain a lifelong MSU Bear.
