Biography

Karen Sabo is a director, actor, writer, and dialect coach. She belongs to SDC and VASTA, and is a 28-year member of AEA. Karen was a resident actor at three different theatres, including the LORT Barter Theatre where she was also a resident director. Originally from upstate New York, she has lived in nine different states in three time zones. She and her husband founded In/Visible Theatre of Boone, NC, which developed new plays produced nationally. Her non-theatrical interests are yoga, fitness, food and culture, cooking, film, and petting other people's dogs. She is married to writer/theatre artist Derek Davidson and is the mother of director/actor Rachel Sabo-Hedges. www.karensabo.com
