Graduate Assistantships
Helping you support your education
The theatre and dance department typically awards five graduate assistantships per year to students in the theatre graduate program. Assistantships offered by the department are all related to theatre and a majority of these assistantships involve teaching a theatre course. A stipend and a waiver of tuition accompany these assistantships.
How to apply
All students applying for a graduate assistantship must have their GRE scores (verbal and quantitative) on file at the time of application. All graduate assistants in theatre and dance are required to take nine hours of course work.
In addition to submitting your GRE scores, you must also submit an Application for Graduate Assistantship and a Recommendation Letter Form to the department. You can pick up and submit these forms to the department of theatre and dance office, Craig Hall 355.
Other assistantships
You may also be eligible for non-teaching assistantships in various departments and offices across the University. Check with the Graduate College for more information about assistantships.
