Audition/Interview for a BFA program

The Missouri State Department of Theatre and Dance has a competitive admissions policy for the BFA in Theatre and Dance and BFA in Musical Theatre programs. When applying to MSU, you must submit a formal application to the department through Acceptd and complete either an audition or interview. The design/technology/stage management degree track only requires an application and interview.

Interview for a BA/BS program

The Missouri State Department of Theatre and Dance has dynamic BS/BA programs in Theatre and BS in Dance. When applying to MSU, you must submit a formal application to the department through Acceptd and complete an interview.

Audition for the Acting on Camera Certificate

Acceptance for the Acting on Camera Certificate is based upon audition and application. Current students from any Missouri State University degree program may apply. Members of the community may apply but must also meet Missouri State acceptance guidelines.

All auditions are conducted via digital submission. As such, applicants must submit a formal application and audition to the department through Acceptd. An entry GPA of 3.5 or above is recommended.

After completing and submitting an application, a representative from the department will contact the applicant to confirm audition/interview time. Applying early is recommended as audition spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis.
