Acting on Camera

This certificate prepares performers and media practitioners for the professional on-camera marketplace.

Admission requirements

Acceptance is based upon audition and application. Current students from any Missouri State degree program may apply. Members of the community may apply for admission but must also meet Missouri State admission requirements.

Program requirements (18 hours)

  1. One course from: THE 222(3), 421(3), 422(3).
  2. THE 522(3), 524(3); MED 345(3).
  3. Three hours from: THE 323(3), 328(3), 497(3); MED 360(3), 462(3), 463(3), 464(3), 472(3), 566(3).
  4. THE 495(3)-acting performance in an approved Missouri State sponsored project (including collaborative projects with MED 765, Directing for Film and Stage) or an approved external film production.
  5. All candidates must satisfy the General University Certificate Requirements.

Completion requirement

Attain a grade of C or better in all courses used to fulfill the certificate requirements.
