TAD eUpdate
Fall Dance Concert

New Header ImageThe Dance Composition III class's annual Fall Dance Concert will take place on October 30 and 31 at 7:30 PM, and November 1 at 2:30PM, in Coger Theater.



The concert is free, but we are accepting donations for the American Cancer Society.

Choreographers include Alisha Anderson, Dustin Brown, Brian Brown, Lauren Clark, Lisa Monaco, and Ruth Barnes.

Also- please note! The Fall Dance Concert is in need of somebody who can run the sound board. If you are interested and available this Wednesday from 5-10, Thursday 5:45-10 , Friday and Saturday in the evening from 5:45-9:30 and Sunday from 12:45-4ish, please contact Alisha Anderson at Alisha416@live.missouristate.edu.

The talkback for Miss Julie will take place this Wednesday, October 28th, 5:00-5:45 PM, in Craig 206.

The talkback for I Love You Because is TENTATIVELY scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 5th, from 5:00-5:45 PM, in Craig 206. (We will have confirmation of the date and time in next week's TAD.)

Join us for a discussion about each show, the process, and the product. Snacks will be served.

New Header ImageAuditions and interviews for the BFA Acting, Musical Theatre, Design/Technology/Stage Management and Dance Programs for current Missouri State students will be held on Friday, November 13th. Students can choose to apply for as many or as few of the programs as they wish.

Kay Alden

New Header Image
Kay Alden, a Speech & Theatre MA alum, is receiving Missouri State's Outstanding Alumni Award this weekend at Homecoming. Kay is co-head writer for the daytime serial The Bold and the Beautiful and former head writer for The Young and the Restless and multiple Emmy winner.

You can read more about Kay in the Summer 2009 MSU Alumni Magazine.

Kay will arrive in Springfield around noon on Friday and will have 2-3 hours in the afternoon free. She would be happy to meet with students or to visit a class during this time. More information will be announced later in the week; for updates, please contact Dr. Bob Willinbrink at RWillenbrink@MissouriState.edu.
Free Style

New Header ImageJeffrey Nicholson, a LA headshot photographer who came to MSU a few weeks ago to host a workshop, has written the movie Free Style, which opened in theatres earlier this month.

If you wish to enter in this giveaway, please send an e-mail to Matt Tassell (Tassell65456@Live.MissouriState.edu) with "Alice in Wonderland" in the subject field by Thursday, October 29th, 2009 at 12:00 PM. You MUST include which date and time you available to see this show!

Based on the novels The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll. Join Alice's madcap adventures in Wonderland as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with the Tweedles, raps with a bubble blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game. Featuring such classic Disney songs as "I'm Late," "The Un-Birthday Song," and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah."
