Miss Julie

New Header ImageTickets for August Strindberg's Miss Julie are on sale now!

Set on the estate of a Swedish count in 1894, Miss Julie explores the interplay of love and lust, social mores and class struggle, power and choice. Miss Julie, the Count's strong-willed daughter, dreams of escaping the constraints of her social station. Jean, the Count's worldly valet, aspires to manage his own inn. During the course of one fateful Midsummer's Eve, their relationship flows from flirtation to passion, kindness to cruelty, hope to despair. This intense psychological drama exposes the underlying forces in the battles of the sexes and classes.
