Ticket Giveaway: Ahn Trio

New Header ImageThis week, you can win two tickets to see the Ahn Trio at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts on Thursday, September 10th, at 7:30 PM!

If you wish to enter in this giveaway, please reply to this e-mail OR send an e-mail to Matt Tassell (Tassell65456@Live.MissouriState.edu) with "Ahn Trio" in the subject field by Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 PM.

Born in Seoul, Korea, and educated at Juilliard, the members of the Ahn Trio - sisters Maria, Lucia and Angella - are redefining the art and architecture of chamber music, breathing new life into the standard piano trio literature with commissioned works from visionary composers like Pat Metheny, Kenji Bunch, Maurice Jarre, Nikolai Kapustin and Michael Nyman. The trio thrives on dissolving the barriers between art forms. They have fused their work with that of dancers, pop singers, DJs, electronic music artists, painters, installation artists, photographers, lighting designers, ecologists and even kite makers. Possessing an enviable combination of talent and style, the Ahns have frequented the fashion pages of the likes of Vogue and GQ, and in 2003 were named among People magazine's Most Beautiful People. Wherever the Ahns go, they share their innovative spirit and ever-evolving vision of music.

Ticket Giveaway: All My Sons

New Header ImageThis week, you can also win two tickets to see the Arthur Miller's All My Sons at the Vandivort Center Theatre. These tickets will be good for any of the opening weekend performances, September 3-5th, at 7:30 PM.

If you wish to enter in this giveaway, please reply to this e-mail OR send an e-mail to Matt Tassell (Tassell65456@Live.MissouriState.edu) with "All My Sons" in the subject field by Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 at 12:00 PM. YOU MUST INCLUDE WHICH DATE YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO SEE THIS PERFORMANCE!

Miller's searing play, first produced in 1947, is as powerful and provocative today as it was then. Joe Keller, exonerated of the crime of manufacturing defective parts for airplanes engines, made a lot of money, but his partner went to jail. Joe and his wife Kate lost one son in the war, now their other son has begun to have questions about his father's innocence. The play mounts in intensity to its electrifying conclusion.

Winner 1947 Best Play Tony® and New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards.
