ISP Receives Target Grant
Congratulations to the In-School Players, the small cast of Missouri State University students who travel
the local elementary school and Springfield Public Library circuit to bring live theater performances to children, for receiving a $1000 Grant from Target!
Since 1946, Target has given 5 percent of our income to the communities we serve. Our Target stores carry on this tradition by making local grants and supporting volunteer initiatives. We encourage non-profit organizations
to work directly with their local Target store because they best understand the needs of their community.
We are proud to partner with organizations like yours to inspire education, make the arts affordable and accessible, and foster safe families and communities nationwide.
ISP Director Michael Frizell plans on using the grant to build sets for his upcoming Spring 2010 tour.
Congrats to ISP, and a big Thank You to Target!

Incognito

Save the Date!!
Thursday October 8th at 7:30pm in Carrington Auditorium
Incognito written and performed by Michael Fosberg
FREE!!!
Writer/performer Michael Fosberg began a personal search for his biological father at age 34 that turns up a whole lot more. Armed with only the name of his father and the knowledge that he lived in the Detroit area two decades earlier, Fosberg
makes a miraculous call which sets in motion a series of discoveries of family -- of secrets and lies, confrontation and reconciliation. Incognito balances humor and emotion as it deals with race, prejudice and life's difficult choices.
Michael Fosberg, a Chicago native, has been writing, acting, and directing for more than twenty-five years. He has performed in Chicago as an actor at the Steppenwolf & Goodman Theatres, having worked with directors Gary Sinise, John Malkovich,
and Robert Falls. He received a Jeff Citation for Best Actor for his performance in Sam Shepard's Savage/Love. His memoir, Incognito, on which the play is based, will be published next fall by Chicago Review Press. The film company NUMBER 8 is currently
making a documentary about his life and play.
