Vickie Awards & UTD Updates

The annual UTD Vickie Awards will be held on Thursday, May 7th ("Dead Day Eve") at 7:00 PM, at the pavillion room at Mille's Cafe. The food will be catered from Mille's itself so the food will be awesome! We have both vegetarian and vegan options this year so everyone should be able to eat!

For those of you who haven't heard, the Vickies is the awards ceremony for our department, recognizing all the hard work we collectively have done together to produce such a great season.

-Tickets are on sale NOW! They are available in the T&D office.

-GRADUATING SENIORS (Spring or Fall 2009) If you're BA, BFA, MINOR, ED, or just active in the Theatre & Dance Department- if you want to be in the slide show, email Addie Barnhart a picture of yourself to Addie@swanrep.com.

-UTD members can vote on nominees starting next week in the Theatre & Dance Office. The nominations will include acting, directing, dancing, choreography, and technical awards for the mainstage productions, dance pieces, and Directing II and UTD One-Acts.

-The ballot will be put together TONIGHT, Tuesday, April 28th, at 6:30 PM. For anyone interested in helping or who has input to make, please show up to the Craig Lobby at 6:30.

-The Penny Wars to determine the hosts of the 2009 Vickie Awards will be happening in the lobby Craig Hall this week. There are two sets of potential hosts: Jessica Morgan & James Massey vs. Alex Grelle & Jackson McKeehan. Funds from the Penny Wars will help pay for The Vickies. Remember- pennies are postiive points, any other change or bills are negative points; whichever team has the most points wins!

-In other UTD News- nominations for officers next semester can be submitted to Addie Barnhart at Addie@swanrep.com. The officers will be voted on in the same ballot as the Vickie Awards.

-Choreocopia, the annual dance concert featuring work choreographed and performed by students, will be held this Sunday, May 3rd, at 6:00 PM. Admission is free.
