Meet Oedipus and his agony that is to come. Never has a play been
performed that conveys the idea of public exposure to private torture
so hauntingly. Follow the king of Thebes as he discovers how lonely it
is at the top of a kingdom and at the bottom of exile. One part
detective story, quite possible the first, and one part drama, Oedipus Rex
is everything that makes us human and monster. Follow the king through
murder, prophecies, love, and being reunited to a past he only thought
he knew. From strangers telling truths to babies being lost in
mountains find out how blinding the works of Sophocles can really be,
even thousands of years later.
