General Audition Workshop and Mock Audition
On Friday, January 30th, from 12pm-1:50pm, the Theatre & Dance Department will be sponsoring a General Audition Workshop and Mock Audition.
The huge general audition (Midwest, UPTA, SETC, ITA etc.) is
a strange beast and the "rules" and expectations are different than
smaller individual theatre specific general auditions.
We will be having an informal Q&A about what to expect,
how to prepare, do's and dont's, nuts and bolts of these huge general
auditions followed by a mock audition for anyone interested in practicing their
general audition.
CARRINGTON AUDITORIUM
ALL THEATRE & DANCE STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND!!
12:10pm-1pm Q&A with Dr. Kurt Heinlein, Sarah Wiggin,
Stacy Parker Joyce and a few senior students.
1:05-1:45 MOCK AUDITION** (Dr. Kurt Heinlein, Sarah Wiggin,
Stacy Parker Joyce, & Heather Luellen)
**Anyone is invited to watch the mock audition (we can learn
SO MUCH from watching this kind of thing!) There is a sign-up sheet in the
T&D office for those who wish to "audition".
PLEASE SIGN UP IN ADVANCE.
If you have any questions, you can contact Stacy at stacyjoyce@missouristate.edu.
