How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
TADBanner08 Tickets for the Missouri State Theatre & Dance Department's production of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying are on sale now!

The show runs in Coger Theatre from October 29-November 1 at 7:30 PM, and November 2, 2008 at 2:30 PM. Tickets
are $18-24, and can be purchased at any Missouri State box office, or online at MissouriStateTix.com.

Meet J. Pierrepont Finch, a ruthless young monster that starts at the very bottom as a window washer and climbs the corporate ranks of a top executive all with the help of a small handbook called How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The play, with the same name, written by Abe Burrows, delves into the world of the office and finds out how ruthless, backstabbing, cynical people with no conscience but all the charm in the world make their living. Follow J. Pierrepont Finch, as he becomes an icon to the "company man." Half deplorable and half enduring who else could the workingman root for but Finch? The characters capture caffeine addiction, office party fouls, and even true love in the most humanly, humorous, horrible way ever.

Be sure to join us after the show on October 30th in the Craig Hall lobby for a reception after the show, catered by Sodexo!

Sponsors of this production include:
KTXR, KSPR, Sodexho Campus Services, 417 Magazine, and GO Magazine.

In Chinese tradition, the mythical dragon symbolizes power, heroism, goodness and perseverance. This spectacular production combines the masculine martial arts of kungfu and gigong with the feminine grace of contortion, acrobatics and dance. The perfect balance of yin and yang creates a fascinating glimpse into the ancient culture of China - in a performance its creators call "Kungfu Cirque"!
Introduction to the Performance, 6:45 pm:  Dr. John Prescott, Professor of Music, Missouri State University

From the Springfield News-Leader:

Newly divorced Elyot and Amanda have each remarried and are honeymooning with their new spouses at, coincidentally, the same hotel. They meet by chance and old passions flame anew, so they impulsively run away together. It doesn't take long for the flames to die down -- just about as long as it takes for the abandoned spouses to track them down.
