Mark Putman teaches theatre production and design classes as well as acting department Production Manager and Sound Designer. Before coming to Missouri State University, he was technical director for University of New Mexico. Before completing his MFA, Mark was Technical Director and Sound Designer for New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. 

Other design credits include lighting for the Springfield Little Theatre's Missouri, Inherit The Wind and Fiddler On The Roof, St. Louis Black Repertory Company's The River Niger and The Tap Dance Kid, the Dance Coalition of Albuquerque, the Woodland Opera House, the Show Below in Sacramento, the Sierra Repertory Theatre, the Austin Repertory Theatre, and the Creede Repertory Theatre. Mark also has technical direction and construction credits with TheatreWorks (Palo Alto, CA), the Santa Fe Opera, The Alley, the Intiman, the Goodspeed Opera House, the Hartford Stage Company, the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, and Theatre Project (St. Louis.) He has also designed scenery for Seven Guitars, The Dance On Widow's Row, The African Co. Presents Richard III, Train Is Comin', and I'm Not Rappaport for St. Louis Black Repertory Company.
