AUDITION DAY INFORMATION

The Department of Theatre and Dance seek students interested in studying Dance. A technique class that includes ballet, modern dance and jazz dance, and an interview are part of the audition process.

  • FRIDAY, November 13, 2009 at Missouri State University
    Deadline for applying: November 2, 2009
    Fall round is only for current Missouri State University students auditioning for Spring BFA admission.
    Once your application is received you will be contacted with an audition time. Auditions are scheduled in McDonald Arena 203 from 3-5:00 PM.

  • SATURDAY, January 30, 2010 at Missouri State University
    Deadline for applying: January 19, 2010

    • On audition day you will check in, meet the dance faculty, take technique classes, have the opportunity to spend some time with Missouri State University student representatives, and participate in an informal conversation/interview with the faculty.

    Check in between 8:30 and 9:00 AM at McDonald Arena, Room 203. Your day will finish between 1:30 and 2:00 PM in Craig Hall.

    This extensive audition process affords us the opportunity to evaluate your training and assess your potential. It also gives you the chance to decide if this program suits your goals and abilities.

    Please dress in solid colored tights and leotards. Bring ballet and jazz shoes. And secure your hair.

  • SATURDAY, March 6, 2010 in Kansas City, MO
    Deadline for applying: February 19, 2010

    • On audition day you will check in, meet the dance faculty, take technique classes, and participate in an informal conversation/interview with the faculty.

    Check in at the determined audition location between 8:30 and 9:00 AM. Your day will finish between 1:30 and 2:00 PM.

    This extensive audition process affords us the opportunity to evaluate your training and assess your potential. It also gives you the chance to decide if this program suits your goals and abilities.

    Please dress in solid colored tights and leotards. Bring ballet and jazz shoes. And secure your hair.
