Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting

The Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Acting, giving students an opporuntity to develop their acting skills and refine their craft. In addition, students are given a wealth of performance opportunities and hands on experience in professional theatre venues.

Auditions

In 2004, the Department of Theatre and Dance implemented a new admissions policy for the BFA in Acting. This degree program now requires an audition for acceptance into the major at the time of applying for admission to the university. In addition to applying to Missouri State University, you are required to submit a formal application to the department for an audition into the BFA in Acting program.

Degree Requirements

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting shares the General Education Requirements with all Missouri State University Students. In addition, students take additional hours of major requirements in Acting, Directing, Design/Technology, History, and a cumulative Final Project.
